Background

The Batteries Act (BattG) regulates the placing on the market, take-back and environmentally compatible disposal of batteries and accumulators as well as of used batteries and accumulators. The BattG makes the requirements of European Directive 2006/66 EC into German law. Producers and distributors of batteries and accumulators therefore have a large number of obligations. This includes, among other things, a legally compliant product design, registration with the central Battery Law Register and the nationwide take-back and disposal of used batteries.

Hinweis

Regardless of whether you bring portable, automotive or industrial batteries to market: hpm offers you reliable, competent assistance in fulfilling your legal manufacturer obligations that result from the BattG. We would also be pleased to provide you with information on legally compliant implementation in the other member states of the European Union.
