Affected manufacturers are not permitted to bring electrical and electronic appliances to market in Germany without registering with the ear foundation. Registration applies to both privately used and commercially used devices. After used equipment is collected and brought to the municipal collection points (örE), manufacturers are obligated to pick it up promptly when ordered to do so by the ear foundation.

As a system provider, we assume responsibility for container placement, logistics and recycling of used equipment on your behalf across the country according to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). We manage compliance with the statutory recycling rate per collection group from initial treatment to annual reporting.

Next to örE volumes, the “device-specific direct return” is the most effective and sustainable way to fulfil your product responsibilities. Directly collected volumes reduce the örE volumes assigned by the ear foundation.
