Destruction of customs goods

Year after year, customs authorities as well as manufacturers and warehouse operators are confronted with the task of realising the documented destruction of goods that are in storage but will no longer be brought into circulation.

So-called non-Community goods, which traders are generally not permitted to dispose of or only to the extent allowed by the customs authorities, can be demolished or destroyed subject to prior notification of the customs authorities according to Article 182 (1) of the Customs Code (ZK).

To protect consumers and by request of the manufacturer, the destruction of such goods is handled by Hellmann Process Management. Returning the goods to the business cycle is therefore excluded. Here we focus on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. Processing takes place under the supervision of customs officials or the manufacturer and includes the required documentation – certified, professional and secure.
